★ Bout IX · super prerelease · Ad Hoc only ★
A fasting timer, minus the subscription. Start a fast, watch it move through the zones, end it, keep the streak — from the app, the Lock Screen, Control Center, Siri or your Apple Watch. No account, no ads, no upsell, and zero dependencies.
Super prerelease. Cut is an Ad Hoc build that installs only on the iPhones and Apple Watches registered in the Bantamware developer account. It is not on the App Store. Expect rough edges; builds may change or break, and fasts you log could be lost between them.
★ Take it home ★
Open this page on a registered iPhone and tap Install. The watch app rides along: open the Watch app on the phone and install Cut from Available Apps. An Ad Hoc watch app needs Developer Mode on the watch (Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode).
Not registered? Send your device’s UDID first; Ad Hoc builds refuse to install anywhere else.
★ The numbers ★
Cut against the typical subscription fasting app. Their column varies by app and by update; ours is a number you can check against the IPA.
★ Fighting weight ★
One screen: the fast as a ring in the color of its zone — anabolic, catabolic, fat burning, ketosis, deep ketosis — a running clock, and Start or End. Plans from a 13-hour circadian fast through 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and OMAD to 36 hours, or your own length. Started before you opened it? Say when.
Home and Lock Screen widgets, a Live Activity in the Dynamic Island, a Control Center toggle for the Action Button, Siri phrases, and complications on every watch face. They count with the system clock, so nothing wakes up to keep them current.
Connect Apple Health and Cut writes your weigh-ins and shows how much of a fast you slept through. Health has no place for fasts, so they stay in one small file on the phone, with a copy on the watch — never a server.
Zone hours are a common guide and vary person to person. Talk to a doctor before long fasts, or if you’re pregnant, diabetic, or have a history of disordered eating.
